HelenKeith said Plain text. This is the plain text of I and II Maccabees. There is no commentary. It uses nice, accessible English. I have enjoyed reading it. The good thing is that it is kindle and so one can highlight and add comment to your heart's content. The difficulty is that there is no index and there are no page numbers, only location numbers. The latter makes it difficult when trying to cite for research purposes. Of . Was curious about the Books and wanted to read them. Troy Clopton I enjoy reading the books and find the stories very interesting and thought provoking although not included in the Holy scripture there is some information of significance to be found..
