DESCRIPTION:
But Chris’s black-and-white world view clashes with Sarah’s all gray world of identity confusion and distrust. In order to overcome their conflicts, they will have to step out of their self-imposed cocoons, take a real look at themselves, and find the strength to walk through the fire.. When they meet, their attraction is stronger than anything they’ve ever experienced. Across town, Sarah Pullman also lives by her instincts since that horrible day when her life was almost snuffed out. Set against the turbulent backdrop of Los Angeles during fire season, Chris and Sarah struggle with the realities of their pasts and the necessity of defying their long-standing beliefs. In the City of Angels, K9 police officer Chris Bergstrom keeps herself safe by following her instincts. They’ll need more than their gut feelings to navigate the fragile relationship they so intensely desire
RLynne said A wonderful love story with great characters!. Lisa Girolanmi has written a great love story set in a city she knows well, Los Angeles. Her wonderful characters, K9 Police Officer, Chris Bergstrom, and "trust baby" Sarah Pullman are well drawn. Both women have troubled backgrounds, Chris from her "life is black or white" military family, and Sarah from her pretentious social climbing family. Their touching meeting over the blackberries at a Whole Foods Market, was beautifully and tenderly written. What follows is one of Californ. "Very good read and Very good love story" according to SEL. The sample had me hooked. You have the by the book police officer, who sees everything in black and white, and the trust fund baby who likes to live in the gray area. This does become and issue for them and their blooming relationship. They also have other issues and secrets to overcome, and there were portions where I wanted to smack Chris for her stupidity. All in all the story flows well and the angst is kept to a minimum.. Found, Lost and Found again Ameliah Faith This is a book that has been on my TBR list for AGES but I never had a chance to read it till now. I was so excited by the premise, I know Bold Strokes puts out great books and I've heard that Lisa Girolami is a great author too, so I figured it was a safe bet. Yup. I dove in and didn't come up till it was done. Wow, was it ever easy to get lost in this one. Ms Girolami's mastery of adjectives gave this story such amazing descriptions but the plot would have held me even if they did
