From an archaeologist's point of view, Stoops has wisely articulated his description method to archaeologists interests, giving an easy and simplified start point to thin section analysis.. Not appropriate for analysis of archaeological pottery Ann C. I bought this because it was recommended by someone using it for characterizing grain abundance in archaeological pottery. But I don't think it is appropriate.. "Appear to be brand new" according to Elizabeth H Alger. Don't see any marking inside, looks brand new, no wear anywhere. Haven't inspected the CD yet, but the CD is in it's jacket. Would buy from this seller again. I just recieved in the mail and have many other textbooks to read, but this will be valuable to my thesis research.
