DESCRIPTION:
It includes works by Amy Beach, Ruth Crawford Seeger, Barbara Strozzi, and Clara Schumann. This attractive 3-CD set compiles the music of women composers through the centuries. This impressive collection of original and remastered recordings by major artists is invaluable for the teacher, student, and interested listener.
Great recordings, but one technical problem. Melody Grandy Keller In all the disks, the women's music is given good, professional performances. On the first disk, however, although the songs are in the order in which they appear on the back of the CD box, the titles of the songs as they appear on my Windows Media Player have been mixed up. Shame on whoever did this or let it happen. I must confess that I like the first two disks of traditional classical music better than the last one. On disk 3. Four Stars Great addition to music library!. "Best Used Product Ever" according to Rebecca Garcia. Thought this was going to arrive with minor used scratches. It looked as if the product had never been opened. Was great sound.
