DESCRIPTION:
Great Read What a smashing read. This book kept me totally captivated from beginning to end - one of the rare 'unputdownable' books that leaves one contemplating its content long after the last page is read. I found myself in complete sympatico with the main characters, especially Pricillian and I now feel compelled to research his life for myself dependant, of course, on finding source material free from the orthodox bias. Thank you so much, Ms Saunders.. Mixture of facts and fiction but not clearly differentiated Mark H O'Sullivan While an ambitious work with a story line between the present and past it is confusing at times trying to follow how much of the past is supposed to be fact and how much is the authors own imagination. It would be better to have treated the historical past based on ascertain able facts or later writings on the subject. The present is well told with a more believable story line.Fell short of expectations.. "well done!" according to Laura. Tracy Saunders did a wonderful job writing this story and keeping as true to history as is known and, at the same time adding the premise about Priscillian's life and role. She weaves the story of the 'old' with the 'new' seamlessly and never allows one to forget the mystery of the Camino and it's origin. Well done!
