"Likable characters" according to Valerie Williams. While like most of the books in this genre, it can become overly derivative of Tolkien , the author presents a group of likable and engaging characters . There are times when he strains your credulity , like with a hundred foot boat frame built in half a day by four people and someone in full armor jumping on the boat real and then into the sea, it is still a very engaging read . Excellent idea, Rubbish implementation. Whill of Agora is a good idea, a throwback to fantasy novels of the past, in a time in which dark, drama filled fantasy novels dominate the landscape. The plot itself, while a bit hackneyed, hails back to some of the finest novels I've read. Sadly, the actual content of the book is where this novel seems to fall flat.
