Advanced students would not much as most of the book is common sense for a child over 7 or 8. The text is nice for a beginning reader but anything this level will not be gaining much s. However I am very pleased with the quality for what I paid for a T. D. Fischer Used in public schools, so keep that in mind for homeschooling. Lots of assignments, charts, quizzes and essays. Its alright for what we need to cover the basics of 3rd grade Social studies, but I won't be buying again.
